Match Report

Susie swings it for Malpas

A dreadful performance by Ashley this Saturday. Only skipper Murray looked the part as he added 42 with Robbo and 31 with Pengo. Robbo’s lengthy stay ended when he was trapped in front by the only bad ball Ms. Walker bowled. Malpas’ captain cleaned the tail with 6 for 8, including 5 for 1 in 15 balls. A very meek surrender.

None of the home side could contain the Malpas openers until Robbo grabbed the ball in exasperation and showed us how to do it. Various injuries have curtailed his bowling this year but he was soon growling at Rees as the batsman edged and missed. He has still got it even at the age of 51, to be honest he’s always had it, he just can’t remember where he left it.
